new The Independent Practitioners SIG of PRSA/Greater Fort Worth Chapter Presents a July Lunch & Learn Seminar:

Fame & Fortune 2.0

Positioning Yourself and Your Company for Success

In this second segment of the SIG’s Business Development series, we will explore branding yourself and your practice, and promoting both through the media. The July edition of our Lunch & Learn series deals with positioning yourself and your practice as a prominent player in a specific industry segment and some of the best options that the media offers to get your word out and bring your new business in.

Bringing lunch is optional because our host, Studio 121, is generously furnishing drinks and snacks. In addition to the goodies, Studio 121 is offering one lucky winner a complimentary 30-second PSA produced for the non-profit group or client of choice. The PSA includes all editing, post production and graphics but does not include original video production. This is a great value for some lucky practitioner, so don’t miss your opportunity to win!

Panelists include:

Lori De La Cruz, President of Blue Marble Media, on how she has established her practice as one of the area’s leading agencies in the environmental niche.

Lori is a long-time practitioner who transformed the environmental expertise she developed as a PIO for public entities into a full-time, thriving practice.

Sandra Baker, Media Reporter, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, on generating coverage for your company in the fast-changing world of daily newspapers.

As the Star-Telegram’s media reporter for more than a decade, Sandra has seen everything the local agency scene has to offer. She’s ready to share what it takes for your agency news to fit the new news mold.

Robert Francis, Editor, Fort Worth Business Press, on the options for coverage that weekly business publications offer and what it takes to work with dailies and weeklies for making and breaking news.

Robert manages the Business Press’ guest columns and commentary pieces, which are among the most high-profile and important forums available for establishing your reputation and credibility.
