The Public Relations Society of America Health Academy has established two awards to recognize the best of healthcare public relations management and leadership. These awards are now closed.
The Frank J. Weaver Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual who, during the course of his or her career, has made outstanding contributions to the field of healthcare public relations. The MacEachern Chief Executive Officer Award honors a healthcare chief executive who has used public relations in a particularly effective way to advance the goals of his or her profession.
In 2007 Drenda Williams Witt of JPS Health Network was awarded the Frank J. Weaver Lifetime Achievement Award and we’d like to see another North Texas practitioner or chief executive officer honored.
