PRSA Chapter Items

The names in green are new to their positions. The slate was emailed to all Chapter members, was announced at the September Chapter Meeting and will be posted in the October e-Chaser and on here on the Chapter Web site. The slate will be presented for a formal vote during the GFW PRSA Chapter's Annual Meeting on October 14, 2009.

Before voting at the annual meeting on the nominating committee’s recommendations for new Board members, the presiding officer shall call for additional nominations from the floor for each post to be filled. Additional nominations, if any, shall be accepted, provided the nominees have been contacted and have agreed to serve if elected.

Insurance Available for PRSA Members
PRSA members receive exclusive rates on insurance for themselves, their families and their businesses. The program includes health, dental and life insurance for members and their family members. Additional information is in PRSA's MemberNet.

Financial Planning Assistance for Members and Chapters
PRSA has partnered with the Financial Planning Association® (FPA) to offer its members financial planning advice. FPA is the leadership and advocacy organization connecting those who provide, support and benefit from professional financial planning. PRSA Members can access the “Ask a Financial Planning Question” e-mail hotline, search for a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ in PlannerSearch, listen to audiocasts, read monthly Financial Planning Perspectives articles and arrange guest speakers at no cost for educational seminars on financial planning. Hardship Plan for renewing PRSA members who are unemployed
A Hardship Plan has been announced for PRSA members who are up for renewal and are unemployed or temporarily disabled (such as from maternity leave), and have been members for five or more years. The hardship dues rate for a one-year national PRSA membership is $115, a savings of $110 from the full dues of $225. Click to read the terms of the plan.
